Safe Sex: How to Put on a Condom

Be careful where and how you store your condoms. You should check your condom supply way before planned sexual intercourse. That way, if you need to replenish your stock you won't be "caught with your pants down." Forbidden Fruit carries a large variety of condoms and lubricants. Some people are allergic to latex or to Nonoxyl-9; if you are one of those people we carry condoms to accomodate your needs too.Yes, you can use condoms with genital piercings. The instructions are the same.
Use only one condom at a time. Check the package to make sure it is still sealed well. Don't use a condom if you are uncertain about it's condition. Don't use condoms that are discolored, tacky, brittle or damaged in any other way.
Check the expiration date. Do not use a condom that is expired even if it looks ok to you.
Without damaging the condom, tear open the packet and pull out the condom.
Right before applying the condom, squeeze the air out of the tip to make room for the semen. If desired, apply a drop of water-based lubricant inside the condom. (ONLY water-based lubricant for latex condoms).
Unroll the condom onto an erect penis. The condom should be snug but not painfully tight. It should not be baggy and should not have any air bubbles in it. If you are having trouble with the fit of condoms, please consult with Forbidden Fruit or a sexual health professional.
Roll the condom to the base of the penis. Be careful not to tear the condom on any penis piercings. Apply some water-based lubricant, if desired, to the outside of the condom. Begin SAFE sexual activity!
Take the condom off the penis only after it is fully withdrawn from intercourse. When taking off a used condom be careful not the spill the contents. Dispose of the condom responsibly. Never use a condom more than once even if there is no semen in the used condom.

Educational Products

Educational models increase awareness of sexual health by allowing condom and dental dam demonstration with a variety of products meant to represent a variety of genitalia. Some people are a little embarrassed by condom demonstration; we have a variety of colorful models that allow for demonstration without too much realism as well as more anatomically and skin tone correct models. We also carry informative books on sex and sexual health. If you have any questions about the availability of any of our educational products, please contact us.
